UNC Hussman’s James L. Knight Professor Emerita Jane Brown was honored with the Jonathan B. Howes Lifetime Achievement Award at the April 8 business meeting of the Retired Faculty and Professionals Association.
Brown, who was also the featured speaker at the event, is being recognized for her scholarship and extensive service to the UNC-Chapel Hill campus as well as her engagement in community activities outside the University.

The slogan “Diversity = Creativity = Profitability” is at the heart of The 3% Movement’s mission to eradicate gender bias in creative departments in U.S. advertising agencies.

In response to requests from UNC Hussman students, alumni and other members of our community, the school has teamed up with Underground Printing in Chapel Hill to create its first online pop-up shop featuring a limited number of UNC Hussman-branded apparel items.

Carter, Skip Foreman, Melanie Sill, Ami Vitale and Eric Montross will be honored in recognition of their individual achievements and influence across their respective fields of media and journalism. Capitol Broadcasting will be the inaugural corporate honoree for its outstanding achievements in media and journalism.
