NCSMA, CABJ to host high school journalism workshops; applications openJanuary 12, 2012, 3:44 PMThe N.C. Scholastic Media Association (NCSMA) will host three workshops – the Chuck Stone Program for Diversity in Education and Media, the Carolina Sports Journalism Camp and the N.C. Scholastic Media Institute – during summer 2012. The Carolina Association of Black Journalists (CABJ) will hold its annual one-day workshop for minority high school journalists on Feb. 25. Registration is open for all four. |

Tuggle premiered his documentary film “Las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo and the Search for Identity” Jan. 17 on the UNC campus. Five J-school students selected for Dow Jones editing internshipsDecember 19, 2011, 5:09 PMFive UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media students have been selected for editing internships through the Dow Jones News Fund. Each year, the prestigious program offers about 90 summer internships at newspapers and websites throughout the country.
