The school is a recognized leader in media and journalism education as a member of the Carnegie-Knight Initiative on the Future of Journalism Education and the national champion in the prestigious Hearst collegiate journalism competitions six of the past seven years. The school’s doctoral students have earned the field’s top national dissertation award more than any other school.
