UNC Hussman School grants more than $2.3M in scholarships and awards for 2015-16

The UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media granted $2,308,166 in scholarships and awards through private funding in the 2015-16 academic year for undergraduate and graduate students. Awards include the Undergraduate Scholarships and Awards, Awards for International Travel and Study, Awards to Support Internships and Graduate Student Scholarships and Awards.

Through the generosity of donors, the school administers more than $7.2 million of endowments that support scholarships and awards for undergraduate students, including funds that support international experiences, internships and extracurricular activities. Graduate students also receive scholarships and awards from funding that is generated by approximately $1.5 million in endowed funds.

In 2015-16, more than $1.7 million was awarded to graduate students through the Roy H. Park Fellowships alone, made possible by private support from the Park family.
