Five Hussman School students land prestigious Dow Jones News Fund internships through national competition

Five UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media students are among 82 undergraduate and graduate students selected for paid Dow Jones News Fund (DJNF) internships in Summer 2018. These students will work as data and digital journalists, business reporters and multiplatform editors at 63 leading news organizations across the United States. Interns attend one-week summer internship residencies at five journalism schools in May and June before reporting to work.
Hussman School participants include:
- Danielle Chemtob '19 will attend the DJNF Business Reporting Program at New York University before working with The Wall Street Journal
- Brooke Fisher '19 will attend the Digital Media Program at Arizona State University before working with American City Business Journals
- Ana Irizarry '18 will attend the American City Business Journals Business Reporting Program at New York University before working with Triad Business Journal
- Trevor Lenzmeier '18 will attend the Centers for Editing Excellence at Temple University before working with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
- Harrison Miller '18 will attend the American City Business Journals Business Reporting Program at New York University before working with Triad Business Journal
The Dow Jones News Fund received more than 730 applications for the Summer 2018 program. UNC-Chapel Hill tied with the University of Missouri for the most students receiving internships this year.
